THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
A huge, huge thank you to the dedicated Omineca Ski Club members who came out to help with laying the new sub-floor and moving all the contents of the main room, medical room, and race office (twice). To the gentlemen who sanded down the doors so that the new flooring could be accomodated and to the ladies and gentlemen who mopped, dusted, vacuumed and washed both inside and out (in the rain too). THANK YOU! To name a few of the many volunteers: Shirley Evans, Tom Blair, Connie & Steve Scott, Wren Gilgan, Jack Brown, Bill Chapman, John & Sandy Barth, Wayne & Heidi Larsen, Doug Campbell, Ron Miller, Kai Epkens, Bryan Dickson, Ken Klassen. Your many, many hours of labour are greatly appreciated.

With the help of a grant from Nechako Kitimaat Development Fund ($15,334) and Lakes District Maintenance ($3000) - the Omineca Ski Club has undertaken a lodge renovation this past month. The goals of the project were to improve the aesthetics of the lodge, reduce the noise level and increase the potential of the lodge to be rented in the off-season by business/corporate/government groups.
